Each day decisions are made by our federal, state, and local governments that significantly affect the welfare of United Airlines, its customers, and its suppliers. It is the responsibility of the Government Affairs department to ensure the interests of the company, it's employees and the airline industry as a whole are protected and promoted at all levels of government.
United's team of federal government affairs specialists communicate United's priorities on public policy and legislative issues to the U.S. Congress and the Executive Branch.
On the state level, government affairs specialists in Chicago, Denver, Houston, Newark, San Francisco and Washington, D.C. monitor regional and local issues of importance to the company.
The department also coordinates employee grassroots advocacy efforts to help further the company public policy goals and objectives.
